Tom (pictured with Cyndi) is one of the many felines who have taken part in the community initiative to control the stray cat population. From helping cats find their fur-ever homes to providing care and comfort, Cyndi Wright continues to find her purr-pose in the cat rescue community.

Compassion for the Animals
Cyndi Wright has a long history of volunteering at animal shelters and rescue organizations. In addition to working one day a month at a local wildlife rescue near her home in Texas, she devotes most weekends to an organization that cares for feral cats. From trapping, neutering, and releasing, to socializing and placing cats in loving homes, Cyndi loves to play a vital role in every stage of their care.
As Cyndi explains, “Our vision is to be a compassionate advocate for community cats by promoting TNR and adoption to reduce overpopulation. Whatever small part I can play brings me a great deal of satisfaction.”
- TNR creates healthier cats, safer neighborhoods, and stronger community relationships while saving taxpayer dollars and shelter resources. A major benefit to communities includes disease control, such as rabies
- TNR is less expensive for municipalities, saving their resources for other needs
- Gradual population decline: Over time, TNR leads to fewer cats outdoors, reducing issues for residents, shelters, and wildlife.
