Best Holiday Gifts That Won’t Break the Bank

The holidays are quickly approaching, which means it’s time to start shopping for gifts for your loved ones. However, you don’t have to break the bank to make sure everyone has a good season. Try some of these bargain gifts that are sure to delight while keeping your credit card bill a little lower.

Gift Cards

Instead of shelling out $300 for a brand-new Nintendo Switch, why not just get your loved one a gift card? That way, you won’t have to pay for the whole device, and they’ll have a good head start in purchasing it themselves. Better yet, if they don’t really want a Nintendo Switch, they can buy something else instead.

Custom Prints or Posters

Did you and a loved one take a great trip the past year? Or maybe they celebrated a fun occasion, such as a wedding or anniversary? If so, take advantage of the photos taken by getting one printed and framed for them. If you’ve got a bit of crafting skills, you might even want to try creating a printed canvas for them — a gift that can cost less than $10 if you do it right.

Subscription Boxes

Subscription boxes are a fun new trend, meaning there’s plenty out there to choose from. Does your loved one light up over coffee? If so, consider buying them a month or two of Bean Box. Maybe candles are their thing? If so, they’ll love Vellabox. There’s pretty much a subscription box for every hobby or interest, and because you can usually buy one up to a year at a time, you don’t have to bust your budget for a gift that keeps on giving.

Recipes in a Jar

For loved ones that like to cook, a recipe in a jar is a great gift. It provides them with everything they need for a tasty meal or baked good. A recipe in a jar is even a great gift for the less-culinary skilled, as everything is already pre-measured and ready to go — they just have to follow the instructions.

Finding gifts that are still valuable without costing a lot can be tricky, but we think these are some great ideas. What other cheap but inspirational gifts have you given in the past?
