Some companies initiate CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) efforts as a way to garner publicity. Not Confie. After all, we’re in the business of helping people. So when we engage in charitable activities, our first and only goal is to make a real difference.
In line with our We CARE policy (Commitment, Accountability, Respect, Excelence), Confie is involved in robust CSR initiatives that support a variety of people in the communities we serve. That support comes in several forms, from corporate-level grants and sponsorships to employee contributions of time, talent, and resources.
- In August 2016, Confie created the Confie Aid Program through which the company and employees rallied to the aid of flood victims in southern Louisiana. Confie Aid was re-activated exactly one year later in response to the Hurricane Harvey emergency. At that time Confie made an additional contribution to the American Red Cross to further support relief efforts in the affected areas.
- Confie is active on the board of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF), an industry-wide philanthropy that provides grants and volunteer services on a community level. Through IICF, Confie has joined with other insurance industry professionals to fund 47 different organizations in 2017, including At the Crossroads, Family Bridges Foundation, Laura’s House, OC Child Abuse Prevention Center, and Tierra del Sol. As a leader within IICF, Confie is proud to have nominated Para Los Ninos, an organization that provides services to children, schools, and communities throughout Los Angeles County.
- Confie and its retail brands also partner with Toys for Tots, an initiative of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve that collects and distributes toys to children during the holidays. As a national sponsor of Toys for Tots, Confie and its employees have an opportunity to make a direct, positive impact on the communities they serve.
